 Welcome to Michigan Comprehensive Health Services Inc.

Michigan Comprehensive Health Services (MCHS) is an outpatient rehabilitation agency which has

 been operational since 1979 (Incorporated 1980) to assist a variety of healthcare populations

 throughout the State of Michigan and parts of the United States. We specialize in providing

services to individuals with neurological, behavioral, and developmental disabilities.  It is

our belief that severe injuries, illnesses, trauma, and congenital disorders can be

catastrophic not only to the individuals who sustained them, but to their families

 as well. Since 1979, MCHS has been involved with more than 3,000 cases.

and services.  We understand the complexity of state-federal guidelines,

 cost containment, policies, treatment modalities, and operational mandates.

Our mission is to assist patients with neurological, medical, and age related impairments by

providing treatment modalities that maximize adaptive functioning in the home, community, and

work setting.  We strive to work within a team construct, all the while developing and implementing

realistic treatment (goals) programs that are of a Person-Centered methodology.

About Us

MCHS was formed in the late 1970s to assist the State of Michigan, Department of Mental Health

in the creating and managing the first community-based group homes and apartment programs for

the developmentally disabled.  We were instrumental in designing innovative treatment services and

housing projects which supported the state proclamation and court ordered decree on

deinstitutionalization.  Today, a variety of other populations (catastrophic injury, geriatric, mentally

ill),  living and working in the community are recipients of these residential treatment programs,

 of which we service, monitor, and review.  Few agencies have our years of expertise with community-based

programs.  Statistically, as demographics change and the population ages, there will be more of a need for

quality and cost effective programs and services in the home environment.
